Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

child custody and child support

The mother of my daughter has official custody and is collecting child support. However, she has moved to a town 30 miles away and my daughter is now living with me. My daughter is a senior in high school so a parties agreed it would be foolish to have her move with her mom. My question is this. Since

all parties agreed is there a form we can all sign saying we all agreed to this change, signed before a notary? Also can I get child

support payments to stop this way

as well ?

Re: child custody and child support

You will need to have an ordered approved by the court to modify custody and to stop child support. Without the order on the child support, you may be held responsible for the child support. And if you do not pay it, you will be liable for the back child support. This will cause serious problems, including but not limited to garnishments and they may send your tax refunds to your exwife.
