Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

I'm Sorry if I chose the wrong area of law to ask my question but it was the closet relating to my question. I've been in a relationship for 3 1/2 yrs. Two years ago my fiance said here is your Christmas present and it was a ring and he proposed to me in front of my whole family. Last year for Christmas he got me a nice computer. I am leaving him and he told me I had to give him the ring back and that I could not take the computer with me. I told him that was not right that it was my Christmas presents and he said he gave to much money for the computer and I could not have it. What should I do and can he do this to me? Should I have the police escort me to get my things? I told him I would give the ring back for the computer and he said NO and the stupid thing about it is he does not know how to use the computer at all. I have all my personal things on the computer and I tried to tell him that but he does not care. He is very vendictive and would have me arrested over this. I'm sick with fibromyalgia and severe high blood pressure from brain surgery and this is making my B/P go up. I know you may think this is petty but I've never had anything this nice and can not afford a computer. Also the ring he gave me he found it about 19 years ago and it is small and not even pretty. Please advise me.

Thanks

You are right in that this is not a family law case and a family court would not hear the matter. The items belong to you because they were gifts. You could probably file a claim in small claims court to recover your property, but sometimes it is better just to cut your losses.
