Forgery

In the process of my divorce, I found out my soon to be ex forged my name to sell property. My signature was notarized. I want to prosecute. What do I need to do? I have a copy of the deed and I have his statement on a depostion that he forged my name to sell the property.

Re: Forgery

To prosecute a crime of forgery, you need to contact the

Commonwealth Attorney for your Judicial Circuit. He or she

is responsible for prosecuting all felonies.

Felonies sometimes start out in lower court (District Court)

where the local County Attorney would be handling the matter.

Alternatively, you could contact a local law enforcment agency

(sheriff's office, city police, county police, state police) and

ask them to investigate the crime.
