Can the mother of a juvenile crime victum refuse to allow the child to testify in court?

If subpoenaed they will have to appear, but if they don't want to testify , they testify as a hostile witness. It is up to the DA to decide if the child should testify, taking into consideration their age, the nature of the crime, parents wishes, etc
