Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

Hitting a boulder in a store parking lot

Just wondering if the place of business would be liable for damage done to my car. The boulder I hit is less than two feet tall and I could not see it in my passenger mirroras I was backing out of parking spot. The rock was located next to my rear wheel, and as I backed out, it ripped my front bumper almost completely off.

I know you have re-written this.

You have not described the location of the rock in the context of the business and its control of the area. Without more specific information, no credible answer can be provided.

The other option is to contact the business and describe the problem, and seek restitution.
