Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Mold in my apartment bathroom ceiling

The apartment I was living in had

mold all over the bathroom ceiling. I called and complained. Once they sent someone out, and they told me the fan was not working that they fixed it, and as long as I used it I shouldn't have any more problems, but they never got rid of the mold. Around that same time me and my daughter both have had health problems. Me and my daughter are always congested, and some other symptoms. I found out that mold can give you a lot of health problems, and I believe that has happened from living in that apartment. It has been about three years since I have lived there

is there anything I can do?

There *may* be something you can do, but it certainly hurts that you have waited so long to take any action.

You may want to speak with an allergist or other specialist to see if you can get a proper diagnosis, and see if there is a potential connection between your symptoms and mold.

Assuming that you believe you have evidence which ties your symptoms to the mold that existed in your apartment, you should speak with an attorney as soon as possible.

Best of luck.
