Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

I moved from my home town over a year and a half ago. I received a summons for jury duty from my old location. I called and told them that I no longer live there. I was told to make a copy of my drivers license and send it to them. I feel that since they get their information from the Secretary of State they should be able to verify my residence without effort on my part. I am currently resisting going to the effort and expense of copying and mailing the document. Am I obligated to prove that I do not live there?

Do not get into a pissing contest with the courts. Especially over something as petty as this. That would be very stupid.

Just make a copy of your drivers license, mail it in, and move on.
