auto repossession

i had an auto repossessed in 2000, they auctioned off in feb.2001, i just recieved a bill for 3600. for the difference plus over $7500 in interest. is their any statue of limitations or recorce that i'm able to use

The statute of limitations is 6 years from date of contract or date of last payment on the vehicle. It sounds like the 6 years passed; therefore, they should be unable to collect.
