There are several that are used to calculate the child support, including each party's income, who provides medical insurance and if there are any costs for that medical insurance, the amount of overnights each parent has the child, the costs of child care or other expenses, the costs each parent may have related to other children, the allocation & amount of any uninsured medical expenses, etc. You can look up the full explanation of factors on your county court's website, likely in the Friend of the Court area, and/or on the Michigan Supreme Court's website which has a link to the child support formula calculator.
