Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Save the System or Save the Children

I`ve been deprived of many proceedings that are required by law. From being incarserated for almost three months without seeing a judge.(they say it was for support. I have a 93` order saying this is not so. They slid in about visitation (there was no visitation order) during a hearing which I had no legal representation.Since the only hearings I have been able to get are in front of a referee.I have asked to go to circuit court and been denied by these people.I had one attorney who was going to take the case for free but the F.O.C. closed access to my case files. Now we have to go state level to get access to these files. Now it is going to cost $4,000.00 to $7,000.00 to get what I am suppost to get under the right to information act with out court proceedings. My daughter has been mentally and physically abused (documented) on numerous occasions.

The list goes on and on.I can no longer afford things. Our household now will have no Christmas.Every day is a battle. Is anything else one can do to fight a system who is not playing by the rules?

Re: Save the System or Save the Children

What have you been doing over the years? Why are you so far behind in support? How much is your support, how much do you make and if you do not work, why not? How many kids are involved? How have your kids bought food? Have you contributed anything? If not, why not? Why did you not have a lawyer? Who is your lawyer now? You need to answer these things specifically if you want any help. Bill Stern
