In Michigan (contract signed November 2006) can a contract signed by both parties dictate which court a dispute would be filed in the event their is legal action taken by either party?

Yes. Jurisdictional clauses are common in contracts.

Yes - most name the drafter's home court.

The contract can dictate what court will hear a dispute but the court does not necessarily have to follow it. However, if the parties state in the agreement what law will apply, courts will generally honor that language. William S. Stern
