Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan

Not drunk, so anything goes?????

Officer said I was pulled over for weaving and crossing the yellow line. After passing each sobriaty test, including the breathalizer, the officer became very irrate. Then, gave me a ticket for 15mph over, claiming he paced me for 1/2 mile.Actually, he was at a dead stop in a parking lot 2 blocks before pulling me over. What's my best defense?

Hello, I have received a copy of your post regarding your traffic ticket. I would file a Freedom of Information request for the officer's shift log. It may show that he was sitting in that parking lot when he claimed to have been tailing you. I would also request the preservation of all audiotapes and videotapes of transmissions by and between the officer and his department. (He should have called in that he was pursuing you, or that he was parked in the lot.)The videotapes, if any, may show when he first started following you. Good Luck. John C.
