Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Minnesota

Offensive verbal abuse by co-worker

I am in a stituation and I believe that I am being unfairly judged and punished for ones behaivor towards me that I reported to the owners of the campany. A co-work has been bulling me for six years now but I am seen as the aggresser for provoking the individual into to a cursing fit at me, they have done this many times. I reported it directly to the owners, then I was told by the ''office Manager'' it was my fault and I should applogize for the whole thing. Am I in a postition to take legal action?

Re: Offensive verbal abuse by co-worker

Probably not as described, but you should document the harassment and then, contact a local lawyer who can look at your specific facts. You don't have to work there, you know: you can leave before something really bad happens.

Or, you can try to mediate the dispute (even better), --whether or not the owner thinks you're to blame, the owner ought to appreciate that s/he might get a better work environment by settling the battles between the two of you on neutral ground.
