Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Divorce and Child custody

i would like to get a divorce.

my husband would like for us to go

on a trip elsewhere to give it one

more shot...can that be used against

me in any way when it came to a

divorce or child custody issues if it

didnt work ?

what sort of custody should i be

asking for if i would potentially like to

live in a different country in the

future sometime?

Im not sure if this makes a

difference. but i am not a US citizen. i

am a green card holder under his

sponsorsip. The marriage was

entered in good faith and not for any

immigration purposes. i am canadian.

Thank

Re: Divorce and Child custody

Child custody issues are based on what is in the best interests of the child. As a result, the answer depends on what your arguments may be for custody and how the children are involved in the ongoing relationship.

In most instances, the effort to reconcile is unlikely to be a significant issue in a divorce or a custody determination.
