Re: Business abondoment

You appear to be a local guy, somewhere near Lodi. Good, you are not too far away from me, and I can help you.

I will base this response only on what you have stated in your posting. There may be other important facts involved here which would change my advice; I will only know that after I have talked to you in detail.

You have a huge problem, and you need an attorney to get you out. The landlord may try to keep the equipment, make you alone pay the entire rest of the rent, or both. You may be facing thousand and tens of thousands of dollars owed.

It also occurs to me that the landlord and his brother your rotten partner may have cooked this up together in some fashion. You may be on the receiving end of a very bad deal indeed.

Give me a call to set up an appointment; I am in northern New Jersey, Totowa, just down Rt 46. My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.

Disclaimer: you can not rely on the advice of an attorney given over the internet. The exact facts of your situation, including facts which you have not mentioned in your question, may completely change the result for your situation.
