Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

bed bugs

Can I sue anyone over this? Another tenant moved in and gave us all roaches and bed bugs. I have been sleeping on the couch for a year because I am too freaked out to sleep in the bedroom anymore. The landlord has called a pest control company. Recently I was given the wrong date and was mad because I was being made late to work. The pest control company didn't like that I expressed the fact and took advantage of the situation and called a fire marshall just to get me. There is a lot of maintenance going on in my apartment. I was furious and I am starting to feel like a victim and a door mat with everyone coming and going all of the time. The owner of the pest control company didn't even answer my complaint about his men. What do you think of this?

Re: bed bugs

You can sue your landlord if the bedbugs caused you injury. You must prove that the landlord had notice of the condition, failed to act reasonably to cure the condition, and you sustained an injury

You can sue the pest control company if the company was negligent in failing to cure your infestation, and the bugs and roaches caused you injury
