reselling
Can I legally sell consumer products acquired legally if I am not an authorized reseller. I am not using the companies trademarks.

I'm sure NY has a statute on point that will allow you to resell but you'll need to comply with the statutory requirements. Just search for it or have an attorney do the research to be safe.
