Re: frozen account

How do they know where the money comes from when the account is located?

You need to go to court and have the restraint lifted based on this. There will be a hearing to determine the source of funds.

Good Luck

Re: frozen account

You may be right. If the bank knew the source of the funds (and it is fair to assume they do) they should NOT have allowed the account to be restrained. IF you add any other money to the account (even once) then the bank did nothing wrong, since the account was used for a purpose other than SSI and SSD. You do not mention if that may have been the case. IN any event, you should start a proceeding (go to the court where the judgment was entered and ask for assistance) to have the account released and IF the bank knew or should have known that the account was used SOLELY for SSI AND SSD, they may have to return any fees or penalties they charged.
