If your mother in law is not a co owner of your home, the procedures for eviction or removal from your premises are the same procedures for evicting or removing a non relative. However, you may want to consider asking your spouse to handle your mother in law and find and have that person find & arrange for another place for mother in law to live, before seeking Court Ordered removal. Otherwise you may find that you are the one who ends up being on the outs, from the premises & your spouse.

Good luck,
