Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My husband met this women about 2 years ago and for 8 months he was with her and he came back to me. Ever since January she has been causing trouble going through me his family and friends telling them and me lies wanting to ruin his credibility she is meddling in our marriage and refuse to leave him alone . He's been going to see her to try and get things over with her but she won't stop and we have gone through the police and they won't do anything to stop this women from causing trouble says she's not doing anything wrong . We live in New York and were pretty desperate to finding out help to what we can do to get her to stop . Would you have any ideas?

If he really wants her to stop contacting him he can go to court and file for an order of protection and ask that she not communicate with him.
