Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Evidence at small claims court

I was wondering if Recorded conversations are legal evidince in a small claims court. From what i've read it says everything else but that photos, letters, and all sorts of stuff but no audio tape.

Audio tape is evidence BUT it is illegal unless you are a party to the conversation. If you taped someone else's conversation you broke the law.
