Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

My 24 year old daughter received her first ticket ever this morning on her way to work in Hamburg, NY as a substitute teacher. It was for No Left Turn 7-9AM. She was in the left turn lane behind 3 other cars all waiting to turn left. As she moved closer she saw the no left turn 7-9AM sign and was going to attempt to pull back into the non-turn lane, but a crossing guard on the corner waved them all through to make the turn; so she did. As the last car in line she was the one pulled over and ticketed. Apparently this ticket has possibly stiff fines and more worrying points on your license. Any advice for her on what to expect and/or how to proceed?

The Court will usually negotiate a reduced fine and few or no points on something like this. She needs to plead not guilty and appear for a conference. She does have a valid defense and as such there should be a reduction to no points and a small fine
