Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

How should I behave at the US border if sent to the secondary? Can /Should I call an attorney once being sent to that room? I'm a green card holder and Western European citizen who has been out of the US for over 8 months. Since I was just going to move to the US and had just received my gc last year: I have no driver's licence, no US id yet, no bank account. This is really terrifying. Thank you very much for any advice in advance!

"How should I behave at the U.S. border if sent to secondary?" The answer to this question is direct advice and should only be given in a one-on-one discussion with your lawyer who knows all of the facts and circumstances behind your departure, your length of stay, the reason for your stay, and many other factors. This is not a forum for such precise advice. Please retain counsel, provide them with the appropriate documents and fully disclose all of the above and anything else requested by your attorney.
