Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

unjust pay

How do I stop my husband's boss from giving us bad payroll checks that bounce everytime we cash them. How do I get him to give back the money he pocketed instead of paying on the garnishment that is being taken out of my husband's check?

Re: unjust pay

Your husband has several options, none of which are mutually exclusive: (1)

sue him (if the amount still owed is $3,000 or less, it can be brought in small claims courtno attorney needed); and/or (2) file a criminal complaint with the local authorities (since it is a crime to knowingly pass bad checks). You may also want to notify the creditor who is garnishing the wages as the creditor may have a claim for conversion. If the garnishment is for child support, he should promptly notify the CSEA.
