Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Do they have a case?

I got into a car accident two years ago. Somebody tried to run me off the road - next thing I know, me and another car are on the side of the road. No injuries at all-my front end of the car was just a little bit dented. Nobody was at fault - neither of us got a ticket - the report was labeled as a hit and run. I got a call from my insurance company yesterday that a lawsuit was filed against me right on the 2 year anniversary of the accident - so they were w/ in the two year statue of limitations. They filed it right on the day of the accident. I have never been sued in my life I am scared beyond belief. Does this guy have a case? My insurance company stepped in right away. To me it seems a little shady that they would wait two years to file the lawsuit, if he would have been injured, they would have come after me/my insurance company early on. Also the lawyer representing the other person is a tax attorney? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Do they have a case?

From the information supplied, I can't give you a fair opinion on the validity of the claim. What you need to do is not discuss this matter with anyone other than your ins. carrier and appointed counsel. Find out from the carrier what the injury is and what the last demand for settlement was. Your only concern should be if you do not have enough ins. coverage. You may wish to have an attorney review.
