Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Concealed cracked foundation

I purchased house and closed on May 3 2001. First time home buying. The house was an estate. It seemed notches above any other we looked at. We had many people check it out and and all liked, but we had no official inspection. The realtor did not push us to have an inspection, and did not tell us being estate there did not need to be disclosure, remember 1st time buying. Now I have found caulked mortar lines w/ entire walls painted over concealing the cracks.in the basement foundation. The cracks became apparent with discoloration and widened cracks from winter time. Do I have a case being this was concealed recently before purchase?

Re: Concealed cracked foundation

Definately sounds like that may be some fraud, but you will require an engineer to confirm and cooroborate the damages and the cost to repair.

These cases are tough and can be difficult to prove therefore, it would be advisable to obtain counsel.
