Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

i am owed money by an internet company that went out of business in 2010. my claim would fall under a small claims court procedure; $400. $400 is owed to me, but i will also want to go after lawyer costs and court fees. the company is ezsalvage.com run by a mr. mark alexopoulos. his last known phone number was 732-433-5995, but contact with mark have not happened after his company went under. i want justice. america was not founded on criminal theft. the amount of money that is owed to me, personally, is small; but he owes $100k to thousands of other people. please help me bring him to justice. thank you very much! - dave

If the company went out of business, you may be out of luck. If he didn't owe the money personally, rather, the money was owed by a compnay that had an LLC or was otherwise incorporated, then the business is who you have to go after. With them owing that much to others, they may not have enough assets to cover the debts. You would certainly pay more than $400.00 in attorney's fees and court costs and then you may be unable to recover the money. Of course, if there are assets to take, then you would get your costs back, but that is a big maybe.

If this is something you would like to pursue, I would suggest that you consult with an attorney.
