In the state of Pennsylvania is there a limitation of time that a spouse can file for spousal support?

A claim for spousal support must be brought before the divorce decree is entered. However, it should also be noted that when considering an award for spousal support, one of the factors the court looks at is length of marriage, so for example, if you were married for one year and have been separated for five years, it isn't likely that you would be awarded support. If a divorce decree hasn't been entered though, you can file your request at domestic relations and plead your case.
