Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I was the victim of someone breaking into my car and stealing my GPS. The police found the guys who were breaking into the cars and returned my GPS bec. my house address was on the GPS. I have now be subpoenaed as a witness. I am disabled from a back injury and I also have a doctor's appointment on the same day. Do I have to attend this and why am I involved? I am the victim. Yes you do. If you don't you'll be in contempt of court. Also, the thieves might go free and they know where you live. So they need you to testify. So do so.
