false charges

what can you do a person said you stole and item and you didn't and police want you to take a lie dector to prove it's not true.

F. Lee Bailey was a big believer in lie detector tests but he wrote that there were only two or three people in the entire country that he felt were qualified to read the results. My gut reaction is against taking one unless it is a case where the prosecution has an extremely strong case. That being said, you need to speak to an attorney in confidence before making such a decision.
