Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Option To Obtain Monies Owed

I loaned an ex-girlfriend money. She had been paying down the debt in small increments. Due to a change in circumstances, I now want the balance to be paid in full without further delay. No agreement was signed. Can I take her to small claims court? What other options might I have? Thanks for your help.

Re: Option To Obtain Monies Owed

You can file an action against her in small claims court but that usually doesn't speed up payment and if the MDJ rules against you, you will probably never recover the money that you loaned her. I suggest that you may be better off directly discussing this with her.
