Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Employer fines employee for parking in wrong space on company property

Can an employer fine an employee $20 for parking in a restricted parking lot on the employer's private lot? Construction going on & a parking lot that was ok to park in before was given restrictions - only people working in a certain building could park there on certain days. No signs up in lot - an email was sent the previous week - no indications of fines. Thanks

The question is is $20 worth your job. If you ask nicely and lay out the facts in your question,i.e. no sign, no mention of fines you may not have to pay the money. If you were to assert your legal rights you might not have to pay the $20 but your employer can pretty much fire you without any reason.
