Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Working Without Compensation

I work at a department store that I have been at for 31 years. I am the premier performer and my compensation is that of straight commission. I have 3 coworkers one is a recent heart attack victim, the other has a bad back, and the third has high blood pressure. I am the youngest at 51 years of age. Management has recently cut back on staffing, therefore, my immediate manager has also been displaced. I have been instructed by the management hierarchy that it is my responsibility to make certain that the furniture floor is in proper selling condition. I am expected to open and position all the furniture without compensation. My coworkers are also on straight commission, but they all apparently have ''health issues'' suspending them from contributing to this endeavor. I have complained repeatidly to management heirarcy that I should be compensated financially with non productive time. Presently, under the current climate I am indeed paying them for the privilege of uncrating and positioning this heavy furniture. Is it legal for them to have me do this work without presenting me with compensation for this work? Furthermore,if we are all on straight commission, shouldn't my coworkers assist?

I would really like to know if this is legal
