Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

Authority

My uncle hass passed a few months ago , March to be precise and it was a medical malpractice. The hospital as well as the surgeon made several mistakes. Hers the situation, the surgeon forgot to stitch the aortic valve, and the hospital was not monitoring him and they insured my uncle while he was alive that he was fine and doing super. The hospital when it came to autopsy time took his heart out and the valve which he had replaced. My uncle was around 42 years old, lived with my grandparents uuntil he was 35 years old. He married, had a wife for 6 years and she had filed suit and the suit had been completed about a month ago and she received 7 million dollars, my question is for my grandparents, are they entitled to any damages or do they have an authority to file suit against the hospital or the doctor, or not. Many tell them they should be able to sue but I am curious so I can better inform them and if so get them in touch with the necessary people. Thank you much.

Re: Estate

There can be only one lawsuit for a wrongful death.

Your grandparents question then becomes whether they were entitled to a share of the proceeds or the estate.
