share driveway to duel driveway

i share a driveway with the house next door can i change the driveway from shared to duel if my property line gives me enought room to park my car on my property.the house next door has installed an air unit which would restrick there being able to use the driveway fully if i did this

To fully answer this question, a title search has to made on the property and possibly a survey has to be done. You certainly have the right to place a driveway soley for your use on your own property. However, you should check local zoning ordinances.
