Dropping the Charges in Domestic Violence

I recently filed domestic violence charges aginst my husband howevre since this time we have gone into counceling and i would like to know how to go about dropping the charges. Or what would happen if i dont show up to court.

If you do not appear, they may not have sufficent evidence to proscute the case.
