Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Tennessee

Character assination

A company used my 16 yr old daughters name and picture to advertise their male enhancement product on the internet on her myspace, it was very degrading and humiliating to her. And this was all done without her knowledge. She is a A student in the 11th grade, they sent the message to alot of people. Is there anything we can do? Please help

Re: Character assination

You can get the photo taken down and either settle out of court or sue the company that did this. We can refer you for free to a TN attorney if you wish.

Assuming your daughter is not a model who signed a release, yes, you may have a case.

Your best bet is to contact local counsel and walk through the case after you take professional screen shots of the offending material (a product called snagit is inexpensive and will do the trick). You can also just do print screen," but it doesn't take the entire page.
