Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My grandson, 17, is about to get a settlement of about 30K from an auto accident. Is there any way to insure that the money is used only for him and not let his mother get any of it.

Settlements for minors are often put into trusts but someone will have to ask that it be done and once the money is paid out it is probably too late to do anything. If there is an ad litem for your grandson try talking to him or her.
