Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

automobile accident

I was in an automobile accident which was not my fault. I was hit by a tractor-trailer rig that ran a red light and broad sided my car, which was totaled. The insurance company for the trucking company is calling me and wants to take my statement. Should I talk to them?

You don't have to talk to them but might want to. Key factor is whether you have any personal injury. If so, talk to a lawyer first. If not, you will likely expidite settlement if you do talk to them.

Re: automobile accident

If you were injuried, you should consult with an attorney who handles personal injury claims. Statements given to an insurance company can be used later by them against you if you later pursue a personal injury claim.
