I want to plant a fruit tree in our front yard, but my husband is concerned about children coming into our yard, picking the fruit and getting injured. Would we be liable?

No.

It's not your responsibility if people allow their children to trespass into your yard.

The presence of a fruit tree is not a "dangerous condition."
