Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Hello, my name is Summer Walker and I am writing to obtain information for my boyfriend, Joshua Walton. He is currently incarcerated, he got sentenced to 7 years and has about 4 1/2 years left to go. He talked to a legal advisor in the prison and they told him he has good grounds for a sentence reduction due to the fact that his co-defendents go less time than he did. We were wondering if this is posible and how we'd start the process. Thank you.

He could write the judge who sentenced him a letter requesting and outlining

the credible and persuasive reasons for the reduction in his sentence.

You need to see whether he is in the jail where he was sentenced or is in prison already.

May make difference as to motion to reconsider. Good luck. Attorney Sheryl Shane. Web:
