Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have a question on child support. I was paying my ex sister in law child support from 12/13 until 07/15 when the order was stop when we went to court on the 08.15 down in blacksburg, va. Now my ex wife filed child support now where she lives and the case was heard in culpper, va. My question is that being that the child just move back with her can she file for child support in culpeper or does it have to be file down there. the child judicatory is still down there because he has not live in culpeper for more then 6 month. So i am asking the question because i was told that everything else it need to be heard down there. So i guess what i am asking is if the child has not live with the mother no more then 6 month then can she apply for child support where she live or do she have to file for child support down in blacksburg and then the support have to be transfer to culpeper. this is what I'm trying to find out because i would like to appeal the order if that is the case because i don't think it right ad if not then I need to appeal the order and stop the child support until it correct.

In the situation described, the mother is free to file for child support in any locality in the Commonwealth where she and the child may be residing (including Culpeper) and there is no requirement that she must wait

six months to do so.
