i am recieving still reiceiveing alimony from my divorce in 2004. the alimony was suppose to stop in 2006 but didn't. should i be sending that money back to my ex husband. we were divorced in Mississippi.

If your alimony was suppose to terminate after two years in 2006 but kept on

coming, then your former husband may have a basis to claim that he overpaid

and could possibly demand part or all of it back at some point.

Therefore, to be safe, if he's continuing to make these alimony payments,

you might want to consider depositing them into a special escrow

account at your bank until the matter is further clarified, i.e., whether these

overpayments represent a gift or are simply a mistake and must be returned.
