Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

Power of Attorney rights

I was POA for my grandmother. I made changes to the beneficiaries to include myself and my two aunts as 1/3 owner in the estate upon death. One aunt has since died, as well as my grandmother, leaving myself and 1 aunt as beneficiaries *(life insurance/annuities). There is no originial will so it cannot be probated. My Aunt is wanting all of my POA documents for review, and also wants me to give my dead aunts 1/3 of money to her children. Am I obligated to do any of that? There are no contingent beneficiaries. Thank you

Re: Power of Attorney rights

You should refuse the remaining aunt's request with respect to the distribution of estate assets; she has no standing nor authority to be making such a request in behalf of the deceased aunt's descendants.

However, I see no reason as to why her request to review the POA documents should not be complied with.
