Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

I have been divorced since 2001 the divorced paper said my ex get taxes back on my daughter thing has changed I haven't be on welfare for years.my Ex gave me 250.00 dollar month for one child support.He makes alot of money.I just want to no if I can do any thing about.Please help

Yes, you can do something about it. File for an adjustment of child support based on it being over two years since entry of your original orders. Depending on what county you will be filing in, you are going to need to provide two years' worth of tax returns and your latest paystubs as well as other financial disclosures, such as a Financial Affidavit, but ultimately, your support will be adjusted to put things in line with your current income, your daughter's age (support goes up when she turned 12) and your ex's income.

If you cannot hire counsel, look at the DSHS website and see about having them reset it via an administrative hearing, which is usually done by phone. It's a little more limited than going to court to set support, and while I sometimes hear horror stories from clients who come to have me revise what happened there, if you can't hire counsel, you are left with no choice, and it is better than going without.
