Legal Question in Family Law in West Virginia

returning personal item

I recently got a order of protection on my boyfriend and had the police go with me to retrieve my personal items from his address. There were several items he would not give back. I have the receipts for the items and they are nothing he would ever use. How can I legally get them back. All of the items are brand new. I purchased them or received them as gifts at my baby shower and then I lost the baby. I would like them back for if I ever get pregnant again. He has no children.

Re: returning personal item

You can have an attorney ask the court or an order to turn them over to you or you can forget about them or, if you still have a key, have someone neutral get them.
