Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hi ,

I own a property at Noida by a local builder here , possession date for the same is 2016 , the property is currently in my name and I have availed loan from HDFC bank , I am recently married and we want to transfer loan in my spouse name (since she is a govt. bank employee) from her bank.

Kindly guide us to all the possibilities for the same.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should check with the Bank whether it is possible to transfer the loan that is in your name, to be in the name of your wife, and complete the necessary formalities.. If the property is in your name, I doubt whether the Bank will agree to the loan being in the name of your spouse. At most, the Bank will agree to her name being included as a joint loan holder with you.
