Legal Question in Immigration Law in Alabama

US Citizen married to illegal immigrant needs help/advice.

I am a US Citizen and am married to an illegal immigrant for almost 2 years now. Is it possible he could adjust his status without problems? I desperatley want to fix his situation without disrupting our happy life together. Any advice or info is much appreciated.

It is possible to adjust his status, but there is no guarantee that it will be easy and simple since he is illegal. There are other factors that may determine whether he will have to go back to his native country for a time as part of the process.
