it seems your Q reads, if I took out a policy and pass away next week, which policy pays full benefits, term or whole life? Each/either policy should pay the full death benefit -- the real Q is what does the contract state as the death benefit? talk to your insurance or financial advisor, or if you are purchasing the policy through your work, your employer's Human Resources Department should be able to help you analysis your various options in that regard. Good luck, and remember to name the beneficiary or beneficiaries whom you wish to benefit -- and, never, never name a minor child as a beneficiary -- you should set up a trust for them.
