Legal Question in Technology Law in Arkansas

Copyright Law concerning a website creation

I have created a website that I plan to sell membership to regarding scholarship and college information. I have placed links to over 4700 college, assessment and career sites. I do not post any actual information from the site, only the link. On some sections I may put a comment beside the link that tells what is good about the site--I only make positive comments. Should I be concerned about copyright infringement? Is the law different if it is a free site vs non-free site?

Re: Copyright Law concerning a website creation

There is no copyright problem if you have created a compendium / collection of links yourself. Your commentary is copywritten to you, commentary on the works of others or their websites is protected free speech.
